The beginning of the second semester was marked by a wonderful new initiative – the participation of 4th and 5th year students in a series of endodontics training webinars for dental schools in the Commonwealth countries. The webinars were held every 2 weeks for two months at hours convenient for students’ independent work and covered the most relevant topics of endodontic treatment: three-dimensional anatomy of root canals and the formation of endodontic access; initial passage, preparation and determination of the working length of root canals; irrigation and obturation of the root canal system. Taking into account that the modern trend in the development of education is the introduction of digital technologies, the transition from the traditional “classroom” teaching model to online education, the relevance of this activity can hardly be overestimated.

An excellent end of the semester was a motivational webinar, held on December 17, 2019, on the topic “Endodontics in the style of IQ. Primary treatment”, at which the lecturer, Ph.D., Denisenko Marina Mikhailovna (Ukraine, Kiev) highlighted the progressive developments in the field of endodontics. In particular, the X-Smart IQ system was announced, which allows you to draw up individual treatment plans and support dentists at every stage of the endodontic process from patient education to data processing.
